This project was completed in 2019, at the Hatta Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project included building a traditional Mashrabiya Pergola that was inspired by the region’s rich cultural heritage. The Mashrabiya, literally translated as ‘overlooking’, is a type of architectural style that was used by the local people to provide shade from the sun and privacy from outside observers.
